The Hon. Commissioner For Education Prof. Uche Eze in a meeting with the Education Secretaries, the Zonal Lead Evaluators and the Area Lead Evaluators on 12th March 2021, announced the commencement of registration for the 2020/2021 transition examination into Junior secondary (TE/JS). He reminded the Education Managers that the registration is strictly for the pupils who wrote the uniform examination in primary five. He said that it is the duty of the headteachers to upload their school results, generate invoice online and pay the approved examination levies collected from the pupils into the government IGR account and submit the tellers to the ALEs. He warned that late registration will not be entertained.
According to the Hon. Commissioner, three centres will be provided for external candidates who register for the Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE) but any Local Government that registers up to fifty candidates will be given a centre for the exam.
According to him, unapproved schools that did not write the state uniform promotion examination, will not register for the transition Examination into Junior Secondary Schools.
